  • The Farm at Natchez Trace teams up with Canine Inc. for a comprehensive training program for you and your dog.

The six-week courses cover two levels – basic and intermediate - and are designed to foster greater understanding between you and your dogs. While your dog learns good manners, you will receive a basic education in canine behavior and psychology.

Certified Expert Canine Behaviorist and Training Specialist, Jon Stolzer of Canine Inc. has designed a course to work in line with a dog's natural intellectual design. In accord with The Farm's philosophy, he looks at each dog as a unique individual. Jon has built a program he describes as "obedience dogs love and understand" by taking the three elements dogs need in order to be balanced: mental stimulation, physical stimulation, and fair/consistent leadership. In our classes, obedience is both fulfilling and fun!

Basic obedience is required before entering the Intermediate program. The Intermediate program uses the groundwork of the Basic and continues into a "high distraction" environment, increasing the duration and distance over which you will control your dog.

Classes are in a group setting (10 dog limit) and consist of 1-hour sessions for six consecutive weeks. In order to achieve desired results, participants should plan to attend all sessions. Sign up for our Monday series or our Tuesday series at beginner level and our Thursday series at intermediate. Class runs from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and the cost per dog is $155.00.

    Monday Night Series:
  • September 13th – October 18th
  • October 25th – December 6th (No class on November 22nd, Thanksgiving week)

  • Wednesday Night Series:
  • September 15th – October 20th
  • October 27th – December 8th (No class on November 24th, Thanksgiving week)
  • The cost per six-week session is $155.00. Total payment is due in advance. The class fee is non-refundable once the six-week session has begun.
