Professional Training with Positive Reinforcement
Build a solid foundation for continued growth and success by enrolling your puppy or dog in our Training Camp. Learning basic verbal cues and being rewarded for good manners will help shape your dog into a happy, well-behaved companion and family pet.
Please note: The Farm is committed to a fear-free training approach. We NEVER use any aversive tools or methods such as electronic (e-collars) or choke collars, as we believe training should be enjoyable and rewarding for every dog. We use positive reinforcement to build your dog’s confidence – we want your dog to LOVE working and training!

Program Details:
Introduction to Basic Manners* – 5 days (4 nights) – $1,750
Intro to Basic Manners is a 5 day program that focuses on essential verbal cues: “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “come”, and consistent practice of door and leash manners throughout the week, encouraging desired behaviors with praise. This program will get your dog off to a great start!
Basic Manners Plus – 11 days (10 nights) – $3,500
Basic Manners Plus covers the behaviors in Intro to Basic Manners, as well as “leave it” and “touch” cues. Over the 11 day program, we will add duration, distance, and distractions to make those behaviors more consistent and reliable in various situations, with an additional focus on off-leash walking and recall.
VIP Expert – 21 days (20 nights) – $6,650
The VIP Expert is our most comprehensive option and covers the behaviors in Basic Manners Plus, adding “place” and “settle” cues. We focus on confidence building, reliability with distractions, increasing distance and duration in sit/down stays, as well as socialization skills during this 21 day training camp.
Getting Started:
You’ll have an opportunity to speak with a trainer prior to booking so we can ensure our program is a good fit for your family and your dog. For sensitive or anxious dogs, we recommend completing a Lodging stay or coming for Adventure Day Camp to help them habituate to the environment before beginning training. Our ability to train your dog is entirely dependent on the amount of focus your dog can bring to the training sessions. For training to succeed, it’s important for your dog to have the opportunity to acclimate ahead of time. This way, when they come back for training, they’re more at ease and can focus on learning.
Ongoing Support:
With any training program, your dog’s long-term success will depend on you. Consistent practice and reinforcement of your dog’s training in your daily life is crucial. That’s why each of our training programs includes a Handover Meeting where we to teach you the specific methods we use to achieve the wanted behaviors. Our trainers will also be happy to chat or email with you to provide support and help you keep on track for the lifetime of your dog. Additionally, we offer a one-day refresher called Adventure Training Camp for dogs who have completed a Board & Train with us – a great opportunity for your dog to freshen up their skills!
Plus: THR!VE Nutrition Plan
Our nutritional add-on service offers the opportunity for a review of your dog’s current diet, and a healthy transition to a new diet while staying at The Farm. For details and to set up a consultation with Tiffany, click here!
