“Ask the Trainer” with Beth Sadowski of Music City Dog Training From 1:00-3:00pm

A well-trained dog means a happy home, and a happy home means less dogs causing conflict resulting in dogs ending up in shelters or worse. Beth Sadowski of Music City Dog Training has been certified in canine behavior from the Canine Trade Group, in Dover, Delaware, led by John Van Olden, who has been successfully rehabilitating dogs for over 2 decades. She holds to the understanding that training should be about more than teaching dogs a few tricks—it should be about getting to the root of the problem, establishing effective communication between dog and owner, and taking lengths to ensure the behavior problems don’t come back again. In addition to basic obedience and puppy training, Beth specializes in separation anxiety, aggression, and hyperactivity. Beth resides in the Grassland area of Franklin with her husband, 4 cats, 3 dogs and 12 chickens.

“Ask the Groomer” w/ Hallie Dedrick of The Salon at The Farm at Natchez Trace 1:00-4:00pm

Free consultations with Groomer Hallie Dedrick who has been grooming for 14 years. She was formally trained at the Academy of Animal Arts in Florida. She has regularly attended continuing education workshops in several states, covering topics such as advanced grooming and handling skills, breed specific training, business and teaching courses, first aid and general animal health, safety and prevention, and customer relations. She has worked as a groomer in the pet lodging industry for 10 years. Hallie joined The Farm team after moving her family from central Florida to beautiful TN, in January of 2015.  As a former grooming educator, she loves teaching others how to groom their dogs. Considering herself a partner in helping clients best care for their pets. She is always happy to discuss you pet’s needs, show you tools and techniques to help you be successful at home between visits.

The Salon at The Farm has earned a reputation for being a place any dog can come. No matter how old, no matter what behavior problems or fear might be present, or how good or bad their condition is.  The Salon is proud to extend the philosophy of care that The Farm at Natchez Trace holds, as being a loving, stress free, safe, and individualized approach to care. Combining her experience, with a gentle touch, our grooming and bathing team have had great success with dogs who have found grooming to be terrifying, if not impossible to get through. Not only getting them safely through the process safely, but giving them a positive experience as well.  The Salon features top quality, safe, and natural grooming products, in a personalized, low volume setting. The Salon of course offers top quality grooming. Our team is well educated on breed standards and can help make your pet look their personal best. The Salon groomer, Hallie, considers her ability to hand scissor a fine finish, as well as to see, apply, and achieve balance on any dog one of her greatest skills.
