The Farm was a sponsor for yesterday’s first annual Puppy Love Dog Fest at Independence High School.  This wonderful event featured dog competitions, lots of dog-related vendors, raffles, art & essay competitions, & a puppy “smooch booth”.  What a fun day filled with talented dogs and humans alike!  We are already looking forward to participating again next year!

Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue Meet & Greet: February 1, 2014 – RECAP

On February 1, The Farm hosted an adoption event with the Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue. It was a beautiful day, and all of the boxers who came were so sweet and full of love, despite having had rough pasts.  Three of these lucky pups may have found their forever homes, but there are still more who need to find a family!  Visit mtbr.org to see the dogs that are available for fostering and adoption.

photos with santaEach year, The Farm is able to raise donations for local animal welfare groups through its annual Photos with Santa. For the 2013 event, we chose Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. photos with santa 2 The organization values dogs of all breeds, but they specialize in what their name says: big fluffy dogs. They work to save Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands and their mixes from euthanasia. The Farm was honored to be able to present a check in the amount of $470 to Jean Harrison, director of Big Fluffy Dogs.  A big thank you goes out to Leila of Grannis Photography for capturing some picture perfect moments and for helping raise this money for such a good cause.
